We created Autism Tree in April of 2003 when our 2 year old son Garret was diagnosed with Autism.
The Autism Tree was created as a way to help build community awareness for autism. Our goal is to give people on the autism spectrum a voice and build community compassion towards the parents and families of these special individuals. Autism Tree helps thousands of families create a roadmap for their child and navigate the very complex system of care required for children and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
All monies donated to Autism Tree go straight to helping real families in our community through one of the many critical programs we provide on-going making the Autism Tree very unique. We are a grass roots foundation with a global impact.
Autism affects an estimated 1 in 44 children in the United States today, according to the Centers for Disease Control. We hope that by touching one family at a time, we can continue to build a united front for the faces of autism in San Diego and beyond.
